The White Earth Tribal and Community College (WETCC) Council of Trustees (COT) is seeking interested members to serve as a trustee. Applications will be accepted for the following vacancies:
The WETCC Council of Trustees is comprised of nine (9) members, seven (7) voting members and two (2) non-voting members, at least six (6) of the members of whom will be enrolled members or lineal descendants of the White Earth reservation. Enrolled members of another federally recognized tribe and/or from the community at large possessing special skills and/or abilities that would benefit the College may hold the remaining positions.
Summary: The White Earth Tribal and Community College Council of Trustees serves as a body of official policy making representatives of and for the White Earth Tribal and Community College.
The Council of Trustees is responsible for policies and procedures required for effective governance, administration, implementation, and evaluation of programs, resources, faculty, staff, budget, services, and other operations of the White Earth Tribal and Community College.
The service term for a Trustee is a three-year commitment with regular monthly meetings. The position is strictly on a volunteer basis; however, meals and mileage are provided as appropriate.
