Anishinaabe Arts Initiative Grant Drop-in Sessions Offered for Artists

Native American Artists interested in applying for an Anishinaabe Arts Initiative Grant are invited to a stop by a Region 2 Arts Council information table and discuss the application process with Region 2 Arts Council staff.

Tuesday Sept. 30, 2014 at WETCC
10:30-1:00 p.m. and 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.


Information will be provided regarding

·      eligible grant requests
·      writing grant proposals
·      preparing artist statements and resumes
·      submitting work samples

Grant application packets will be on-hand and are available for download on our website, r2arts.org.

Anishinaabe Artist Initiative (AAI) Grants for up to $1000 are available to Native Artists residing in Beltrami, Mahnomen, Becker, Cass, Itasca, Hubbard, Lake of the Woods, Roseau and Clearwater counties. This grant is made possible with funding from the McKnight Foundation.

NOTE:  AAI Grant Funds can be used for costs associated with exhibition, performance, or production of a specific creative work, for the purchase of materials or equipment, or non-credited arts education experiences.
