The Anishinaabe Arts Initiative (AAI) Grant is a program of the Region 2 Arts Council. The purpose of this program is to promote traditional and contemporary American Indian art in the region. Grants may cover costs associated with the exhibition, performance, or production of a specific creative work; for purchase of materials or equipment; or to take advantage of an educational opportunity such as a workshop, mentorship or nonacademic class.

Crystal Littlewolf received a grant to purchase materials to create blankets which promote personal healing.
Gwendolyn Johns received a grant to purchase wampum and local shells and stones to create natural native jewelry.
Terri DesJarlait received a grant to purchase materials needed to create a woman's jingle dress, two men's woodland vests, and three men's traditional shirts.
Michele Summer received a grant to enhance her jewelry studio.
