WETCC Students Take 1st Place at Ojibwe Quiz Bowl

White Earth Tribal and Community College sent two teams to compete in the 10th Annual Ojibwe Quiz Bowl at the University of Minnesota Duluth on April 23. WETCC’s Team 2, Doug Lee and Lindsey Fineday, edged out a team from UMD to take home the first place Trophy.
There were eight teams competing from five different colleges: WETCC, Leech Lake Tribal College, Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College, University of Minnesota Duluth and the College of St. Scholastica. WETCC’s Team 1 members, Lukas Fineday, Courtney Bunker, Aaron Wittnebel and Meya Rojas took 4th place in the competition. Both WETCC teams were coached by Kim Anderson.
