Eligibility for the Pathways to Prosperity Grant 
(Must be 18 years and older and not enrolled in K-12, and one or more of the following to qualify for eligibility)
Self-identify as a minority
Lacking stable housing
At or below the 200% of Federal Poverty Guidelines
Unemployed for 15 or more weeks
Individual with disabilities 
Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT)
Child Development Associates (CDA)
  • Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) provide out of hospital emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical services (EMS) system.
  • EMTs have the basic knowledge and skills necessary to stabilize and safely transport patients ranging from non-emergency and routine medical transports to life threatening emergencies.
  • EMTs function as part of a comprehensive EMS response system, under medical oversight and perform interventions with the basic equipment typically found on an ambulance. EMTs are a critical link between the scene of an emergency and the health care system.
  • Students register with the National Registry of EMTs & take the National Exam. ​​
  • The Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential is the most widely recognized credential in early childhood education (ECE).
  • It is based on a core set of competency statements, which guide early care professionals as they work toward becoming qualified teachers of young children.
  • Course work: 120 hours online
  • 480 hours of work/volunteer experience with 3-5 year old’s at a licensed facility (this can be fulfilled retroactively)
Special Boiler Operator License 
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • Understand safe operation and maintenance of pressure boilers.
  • Become familiar with Minnesota Boiler License Requirements.
  • Recognize the major hazards associated with boiler operation and ways to prevent them.
  • Gain working knowledge of boiler water treatment programs, chemicals and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot basic boiler problems before they become boiler failures.

  • basic nursing skills needed to work as a Nursing Assistant in long term care.
  • Upon successful completion of classroom studies, the student will participate in supervised clinical experience in a long-term care facility.
  • This class meets the objectives of the Federal Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (OBRA) and Minnesota Department of Health Requirements as detailed for educating the nursing assistant.

Whether you are looking for continuing education units (CEUs), workforce development, or certificate training, WETCC can assist with you with non-credit training.

With your instructor or an instructor we find, WETCC can meet your industry and community needs. Training can be provided in Mahnomen at the White Earth Tribal and Community College to save travel costs and work time. Or if you are inviting others to attend a seminar, we can assist with registrations and meals onsite.

Training completed through WETCC Customized Ed is maintained as a part of our records so transcripts and verification can be provided when needed.
