Pathways to Prosperity Workforce Trainings

The Pathways to Prosperity Workforce Trainings offer a suite of programs and services aimed at equipping adults with career development skills and training.

Build skills for in-demand careers through short-term workforce training supported by the Pathways to Prosperity Grant. 

Eligible participants may receive support for training costs while preparing for careers in healthcare, early childhood education, skilled trades, renewable energy, and other high-demand fields. 

Eligibility for the Pathways to Prosperity Grant

Applicants must be 18 or older, not enrolled in K–12, and meet at least one qualifying eligibility factor.

Eligibility may include: 

  • Identifying as a member of a minority population 
  • Experiencing housing instability 
  • Household income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines 
  • Unemployment for 15 weeks or longer 
  • Having a disability

Prepare to respond to medical emergencies and provide essential pre-hospital care. Build skills in patient assessment, stabilization, emergency response, and safe transport while preparing to register with the National Registry of EMTs and take the national certification exam. 

Build the knowledge needed to safely operate and maintain pressure boilers and prepare for Minnesota boiler licensing requirements. 

Learn to: 

  • Recognize and prevent common boiler hazards 
  • Understand boiler water treatment systems and equipment 
  • Perform basic troubleshooting 
  • Apply safe operating and maintenance practices 

Prepare for entry-level work in long-term care and other healthcare settings. Learn essential nursing assistant skills, basic patient care, and clinical practices through classroom instruction and supervised hands-on experience. 

Training meets applicable Minnesota and federal nursing assistant education requirements. 

Build foundational skills for a career in solar energy and prepare for the NABCEP PV Associate Credential Exam. 

Participants may: 

  • Gain hands-on experience with basic electrical systems 
  • Prepare for the NABCEP PV Associate exam 
  • Receive training tools and equipment, when available through the program
