WETCC supports equal access for students with disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the ADA Amendments Act, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.

Accommodations are individualized based on each student’s documented needs and the barriers they experience in the educational environment. Accessibility Services works with students, faculty, and staff to support access while encouraging student independence and self-advocacy.

How Accessibility Services Can Help

Students with documented disabilities may qualify for reasonable accommodations that support equal access to WETCC courses, programs, services, activities, and facilities.

Eligibility and accommodations are determined on a case-by-case basis.

Start the Accommodation Process

Students who would like to request accommodations should begin the process as early as possible.

To get started:

  1. Submit a request for accommodations.
  2. Provide current documentation that supports your accommodation needs.
  3. Meet with Accessibility Services to discuss barriers, functional limitations, and appropriate accommodations.
  4. Work with Accessibility Services throughout the semester if your needs or barriers change.

Accommodations may be adjusted when additional barriers become apparent after classes begin.
