Do I need to apply before registering for classes?
Yes, you must apply before registering for class. Complete the WETCC admissions application, after which the WETCC Admissions Department will guide you through the enrollment process, including submitting transcripts, exploring financial aid, and registering for classes.

Yes. Many WETCC programs offer flexible scheduling that supports working adults, parents, and lifelong learners.

All degree-seeking students must take a placement assessment to guide in which courses they should enroll in. The Admissions Department will contact people who apply as degree-seeking students to schedule a placement assessment. There is no charge to take the assessment.

Many Minnesota State Colleges and Universities and other institutions accept WETCC courses as transfer courses. Academic advisors help students build transfer plans that support their educational goals. It is at the discretion of the accepting institution whether credits transfer.
Eligible students may qualify for Federal Pell Grants, Minnesota State Grant, North Star Promise, Tribal education funding, scholarships, Veterans Education Benefits, and other financial assistance. The Financial Aid Department works one-on-one with students to identify available funding. WETCC does not offer federal student loans.

For Customized Education

The Customized Education Department offers industry-recognized credentials. Many programs are sponsored by state or other grants. Complete the enrollment process with Customized Education staff who will guide you through the process.

The Customized Education Department offers hybrid, online, and in-person programs. Class schedules may vary. Some classes are in the evenings, during the day, during the week or on the weekend. Some classes are self-paced, and you can work on them when you are available. Learn more about each program by visiting the Customized Education page.

The Customized Education Department will let you know if you need to take an assessment as you move through the enrollment process for those programs.

The Customized Education Department offers non-credit, industry-recognized credentials. Non-credit courses usually do not transfer. Industry-recognized credentials can be used to secure job opportunities in the field.
