Program Overview

The Court Advocacy Certificate prepares students to serve individuals, families, and Tribal communities through a strong foundation in Tribal law, court advocacy, and Anishinaabe history and culture.

This certificate reflects WETCC’s commitment to student success, Tribal sovereignty, and developing professionals who understand both the legal system and the communities they serve.

Students build the knowledge and practical skills needed to work within Tribal courts, legal services, and justice programs while gaining a deeper understanding of Indigenous law, advocacy, and culturally responsive service.

Build Knowledge in Tribal Law and Court Advocacy

The Court Advocacy Certificate combines legal education with cultural knowledge and professional communication. Students learn how Tribal and federal law intersect while developing the advocacy skills needed to support individuals navigating the justice system.
